CEO – NextNet Partners
Phil, our Founder and Chief Executive Officer, is committed to client satisfaction and building an empowered and diverse culture of customer-focused teams at NextNet Partners. Since the company’s founding in October 2011, Phil has passionately led NextNet Partners through multiple stages of growth. Under his leadership the company has developed a very strong team culture, while seeking to create ‘raving fan’ clients, and doubling sales revenue year after year. NextNet Partners has been recently ranked by Inc. Magazine in the top 10% of the fastest-growing private companies in America as an Inc. 500 Company, NextNet was also ranked by CRN Magazine as #8 in the CRN Fast 150, recognizing the fastest-growing partners in North America. In 2016, Phil won the Arizona Corporate Excellence Award for CEO of the Year, 2016.
Founded in 2011, NextNet Partners is an IT Consulting Company headquartered in Tempe, Arizona that is also NMSDC-certified minority-owned. We innovate and provide business outcomes for our clients using next generation network technologies with the best people in the business.
Prior to starting NextNet Partners, Phil worked for Cisco Systems for 14 years, progressing to regional leadership positions over enterprise, retail, healthcare and state, local, and education (SLED) teams in the Southwest. In his last three years at Cisco, Phil was an operations director leading the services team for Cisco’s SLED team in the south and west areas of North America. The SLED services team worked with state, county, and city managers, directors, publicly elected officials, and education leaders across 26 states. Phil led the team in transforming organizations by leveraging Cisco services to consolidate and drive high-value constituent services. Many of the ideas for NextNet Partners consulting practice came from witnessing customer frustration with current partner offerings.
Prior to Cisco, Phil was consistently a technology sales leader with roles at Microtest, Automatic Data Processing, and MicroAge.
Phil was raised in New York City, but moved to Arizona in 1985 to study finance at Arizona State University. He is a member of various boards and councils, including PEN-Phoenix (Parents Education Network of Phoenix), ASU Center for advancing business through IT (CABIT), AZ Eagles, and the AZ chapter of ACT! (Autism Care and Treatment). He loves being an active member of the community through volunteer work with Kiwanis Club of Phoenix, Junior Achievement, Muscular Dystrophy Association, and St. Mary’s food bank.
